Family Support Worker

"Parents remark warmly about the care offered to their children and their children’s enjoyment of school."

OfSTED September 2019

Hello, my name is Sarah Lambiase and I am a Family Support Worker. I provide support and advice to families on a range of issues, including:

  • Behaviour at home and in school
  • Common parenthood challenges, such as sleep, toileting and diet
  • Financial worries or debt
  • Family separation
  • Bereavement
  • Housing

If you and your family are facing lots of difficulties at once I can help to set-up a Family Support Plan, which brings together professionals from different agencies to help support you and your family to get back on track.

I also run the Solihull Parenting Course twice a year. This helps parents/carers to understand more about their child and their behaviour and build on the relationship they have with their child. Please click here to find out more.

I am also a Domestic Violence Champion and a Children’s Mental Health Champion, which means I have specialist training in each of these areas and I can provide tailored support if you or your family are currently affected by these issues.

In addition to supporting parents and carers I also support children in school with their social and emotional well-being. If you feel there is anything in school or at home which is affecting your child’s well-being I can offer them a safe space to talk about how they are feeling.

If you are experiencing any of the issues mentioned above, or just need somebody to talk to, please contact me and together we can find a way forward for you and your family. You can call the office to book an appointment or email me at

The Solihull Parenting Course

We offer parents and carers the opportunity to complete the Solihull Parenting Course. This course is open to all parents and carers whose children attend West Earlham Infant and Junior School.

The course can help you to:

  • Understand your child’s behaviour and how they communicate.
  • Recognise how your child is feeling.
  • Reduce the difficulties you face in everyday life.
  • Improve how you communicate with your child.
  • Understand the importance of play.
  • Develop good routines and boundaries.
  • Improve relationships between you and child for a happier and calmer home.

100% of parents who have completed this course said they would definitely recommend it to other parents.

“I really enjoyed the course. I would recommend to anybody to come along and do the course. It really has helped me to think about how I parent my children and I feel stronger to cope with things. Thank you!”

“It was reassuring to know that I am not alone in ‘my battle.’ I have learnt that it’s ok to feel angry/upset and there is always a solution. I have learnt a few techniques and tips for an easier, calmer, controlled life.”

The Solihull Parenting Course is also offered as a free online course to all parents/carers living in Norfolk.  Please click on the link below to find out more:
