As a small piece of drama relating to our English work, year 6 staged a bus crash on our playground! Drawing inspiration from a real bus crash on Earlham Road in the 1980’s, we are working towards writing our own newspaper article around the incident. On Monday, the accident happened. We had our driver, passengers, emergency services as well as reporters attend the scene to gather information. On Tuesday, we held a press conference for journalists to ask questions to Terry (our driver), Margot (a passenger), Roger (Head of the council), Doreen (witness) and DI Livermore (police). It was an opportunity for us to role play as different characters to build a story of what happened. Lots of speculation is flying around about the cause of the crash from a medieval chalk mine all the way to an alien invasion!
